Google has introduced a new experimental AI chatbot called ‘Bard’, a conversational service under a project called “Atlas”, as part of Google’s “code red”, apparently aimed at combating popularity of the ChatGPT tool supported by Microsoft. In a recent event held in California, Google announced the rollout of Bard in over 180 countries, including India.

What is Google Bard?
Bard is an experimental conversational AI service powered by LaMDA (Language Model for Dialog Applications). AI chatbots were created with the intention of facilitating queries using more natural language instead of keyword searches. It is honed using questions and answers from real-world conversations.
Simply put, Bard analyzes the user’s query and determines its context using the LaMDA language model. It analyzes the details of the question, compares the data with relevant databases on its LLM and then generates a response using information from the web. The answer is then condensed into the famous “conversational reply” format, which is more beneficial than a regular search.
