RBI has released the complete list of Bank Holidays for the month of February. The only month with a length of less than 30 days, which also has few holidays. There are only a few holidays in this month, such as Guru Ravidas Jayanti, Hazrat Ali’s birth anniversary, Valentine’s Day, Mahashivratri, etc., apart from the second and fourth Saturdays. However, not all banks in the public and private sectors will be closed on these days.
About February
Both the Julian calendar and the Gregorian calendar consider February as the second month of the year. The Latin term februum, meaning “purification”, is the origin of the name of the Roman month Haiius (February). Because the 29th day is called a leap day, the month has 28 days in a regular year and 29 days in a leap year.
Bank holiday in February 2023

All Indian banks are required to close on the second and fourth Saturday of every month and every Sunday as per the regulations of the Reserve Bank of India. Meanwhile, the first, third and fifth Saturdays of every month will still operate as usual.

Hazrat Ali Jayanti (February 5, 2023)

MahaShivaratri (February 18, 2023)

State Day (February 20, 2023)
