ANSWER:

MATH PUZZLE 1:

Assuming 1+9+8=1, what is 2+8+9?

Answer – 10! (Check the first letter of each number again, One+Nine+Eight= ONE, similar to Two+Eight+Nine= TEN).

MATH PUZZLE 2:

Sam was born on January 1, 23 BC in KL town and died on January 2, AD 23. How old was he when he died?

Answer – 45 years old! Actual calculation both periods have 23 years but no year 0. So you can add these periods and subtract 1 year. That is, 23 + 23 – 1 = 45 years old.

MATH PUZZLE 3.

100 girls are attending a party. 85 of them had a red bag, 75 of them wore brown shoes, 60 carried umbrellas and 90 girls wore rings. How many girls have all 4 of these items?

Answer – 10

Divide by 3. All the girls have three items. The remainder is the number of girls who have 4 dishes.

85

75

60

90

3 = 100 + 10 remainder

MATH PUZZLE 4.

Sam flipped a coin 10 times and it landed heads all 10 times. So what are the likely chances of him tossing it up again and reaching match position?

Answer – He has a 50% chance of seeing the opposing position. This is because the coin toss does not depend on the first 10 tosses.

MATH PUZZLE 5.
