Charles Sobhraj, a French serial killer, committed not one but many murders of young foreigners in the 1970s across Asia. After about 20 years in prison in Nepal, this man was released and is now a free man.

Charles Sobhraj was born to a Vietnamese mother and an Indian father in Saigon. Later, his mother married a Frenchman. Finally, Sobhraj started an international life. He committed various crimes and ended up in 1975.
His strategy is simple but well thought out. He deceives his victims like a gem dealer. He will make friends with them. Next, he would drug, rob, and kill them. Most of his victims were Western backpackers on the hippie trail in the 1970s.
Charles never looked like a serial killer. He looks charming, sophisticated and trustworthy. He committed the first murder of an American woman. The body of a woman wearing a bikini was found on the beach. The incident happened in 1975.
All of this has earned Sobhraj the nickname “bikini killer”. The killer has not stopped here, rather, everything is just the beginning. He ended up killing more than 20 people.
