The National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM) said in a statement: “The US-India partnership is focused on promoting open and inclusive digital economies through through the development and implementation of DPI in developing countries, promoting successful implementation in India”.
“NASSCOM values and commends the promotion of an open, accessible and secure technology ecosystem built on mutual trust and confidence. This collaboration not only shapes an open world open, prosperous, secure and resilient but also paves the way for India to thrive in an ever-evolving digital landscape, driving innovation and transforming industries,” NASSCOM added. .

Many technology agreements have been signed between the two countries. Aerospace company General Electric (GE) was one such deal signed on Thursday. A memorandum of understanding was signed with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) to supply fighter jet engines to the Indian Air Force.
