The Indian Premier League is famous for its explosive batting innings and players trying to post big totals on the scoreboard. But recklessness often leads to low scores that the bowling side has to defend against. It is rare for a team to score below 125 and win the match, but the IPL is famous for its unpredictability. Anything can happen in the tournament. There is nothing certain about the IPL. Six consecutive fours in an innings, the entire team bowling for less than 50 runs and a total run equivalent to an average ODI match, are phenomena commonly witnessed in the IPL.
However, it is very rare for a team to successfully defend against a low score. However, it has happened many times. Watching a heavy bowling match where the batsmen gradually suffocate and collapse under the pressure may not sound exciting on paper but is extremely entertaining to watch. Today, we bring you the list of lowest successful fielding scores in IPL history.

IPL Lowest Protected Points
The T20 cricket format is difficult for all players but it is even more difficult for bowlers. They are under enormous pressure and some boundaries everywhere are considered normal. However, this can affect the bowling player’s mindset in the long run. From bowling the first over in test cricket to conceding 40-plus runs in four overs, the IPL was unforgiving. However, there are times when the bowlers completely dominate the game.
It has happened many times that a team has been restricted to double-digit scores by the opposing bowling team. But some games turn into bowling matches. Whether it was the pitch or the players on both sides were in poor form, it is not every day that a low total is successfully defended. A score in the lower hundreds was considered an easy win for the chasing side, but not in the following IPL matches. Check out the list of lowest total runs ever defended in IPL history below. We only consider matches that have been played for 20 rounds, not matches that were stopped due to rain or any other circumstances.
