In the first Qualifier of the season, CSK faced GT and defeated them by 15 runs, thereby becoming the first team of the season to qualify for the finals. In the playoffs, Mumbai Indians played against Lucknow Super Giants for a chance to reach the finals and they won by a huge margin of 81 runs. For Qualifier 2, Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Titans faced each other in a thrilling and thrilling match. In the end, the Titans won by 62 runs, subsequently qualifying for the IPL 2023 final.

- According to the IPL 2023 schedule, Qualifying Round 1 takes place on May 23 at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

- The Eliminator match was played at the same venue on May 24 between Lucknow Super Giants and Mumbai Indians. MI have won 81 times.
