International Labor Day 2023: Celebrated globally on May 1 every year. This day aims to raise awareness about workers’ rights and also recognize their achievements. Labor Day or May Day have different origin stories in different countries. But the common point is that the day focuses on the achievements and contributions of employees. It spreads awareness about the rights and opportunities of every Labor which they must get for their welfare and betterment.

On May 1, 1886, labor unions went on strike in the United States and demanded that workers not be forced to work more than eight hours a day.

However, the strike did not have an immediate effect on workers’ jobs, but it did help establish the eight-hour workday in several countries around the world.
