Gujarat Titans and the Lavender Jersey

Gujarat Titans have planned to wear Lavender Jersey in their match against Sunrisers Hyderabad. This is not simply a coincidence but actually a carefully calculated decision. The team decided to support and encourage the fight against cancer by wearing a special jersey during the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

In a statement on Twitter, Gujarat Titans said: “We are all set to don our lavender colors this Monday for a special reason. Gujarat Titans cares about everyone’s health and wellness! Join us as we strive to raise awareness against cancer.”

The lavender ribbon represents all forms of cancer. In this sense, the franchise chose to use this color for their final home match of the current IPL 2023 season, against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

What do team members believe?

Hardik Pandya, captain of Gujarat Titans said the franchise wishes to show solidarity with cancer patients through this gesture. In a statement, he said: “Cancer is a fight for millions of people in India and across the globe, and as a team, we feel it is our responsibility to raise awareness about the deadly disease This. Wearing lavender is our way of showing solidarity with cancer patients, survivors and their families. We hope our actions will inspire others to take preventative measures and support those fighting this battle.”

Currently, Gujarat Titans are leading in the ongoing IPL season standings with 16 points from 12 matches. However, the team lost on Friday to Mumbai Indians.

With a huge target of 219, Gujarat Titans scored 191/8.

However, in case the team wins, it will get a spot in the IPL 2023 playoffs. Not to be missed, Suryakumar Yadav’s century however became the deciding factor. The man hit 6 sixes and 11 fours for a score of 103 off 49 balls. Interestingly, Rashid Khan of Gujarat Titans added life to the team’s chase. He took four wickets and then hit 79 off 32.

On Monday, Gujarat Titans will take on Sunrisers Hyderabad in a match to be held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
