Turner was born Anna Mae Bullock on November 26, 1939, into a family of sharecroppers. At age 11, she began singing in the choir at Spring Hill Baptist Church in Nutbush. She began her music career after meeting her future husband, bandleader Ike Turner, at the Manhattan Club in East St. Louis. Louis in his teens. However, it’s not that easy.

When everyone thought the worst of her, Tina released two solo albums in the late 1970s, but she began a comeback in the 1980s with versions of the Temptations’ “Ball of Confusion” and “Let’s Stay” Together” by Al Green. The popularity of the latter cover on international charts led Capitol Records to decide to release a complete album by Tina, Private Dancer, in 1984. Tina exceeded her previous level of popularity in pop music world. With “What’s Love Got to Do With It”, she broke the record for the oldest female solo artist to ever top the Billboard Hot 100 at the age of 44. Private Dancer also created two more hits that reached the top 10, selling 12 million published globally and helps earn revenue. her three Grammy Awards, including Record of the Year. Then, in 2012, the same song was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame.

Turner met German music executive Erwin Bach in 1986, after her divorce from Ike. Bach is more than sixteen years younger than her. And after 27 years of marriage, they were legally married in July 2013 in Küsnacht, Switzerland, in a civil ceremony on the shores of Lake Zurich.
Turner is the mother of two biological sons, Raymond Hill (Raymond Craig Turner) born August 20, 1958, and Ronald “Ronnie” Renelle Turner, born October 27, 1960. She also adopted two children from Ike Turner and raising them as her own.
