Who is Sunil Kanugolu?
Sunil Kanugolu was born in Ballari district of Karnataka. According to The Quint, he spent his early days here and then moved to Chennai before moving to Bengaluru.
According to a Congress insider who spoke to NDTV, Kanugolu’s biggest asset is his ability to develop close relationships with key party leaders. “He has a quiet but strong personality. Politicians appreciate him for his humble personality, sincerity and data-driven field surveys.”
Sunil Kanugolu was previously part of Prashant Kishor’s team, which played a key role in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 2014 election campaign.
