Greta Tintin Eleonora Ernman Thunberg or commonly known as Greta Thunberg is a Swedish environmental activist. She has worked to solve a number of planetary problems and climate change.

She has led several movements, the most famous being the Fridays for Future movement also known as the School Strike for Climate movement.

Recently, she was seen protesting alongside activists seeking to prevent the abandoned village of Lützerath from being demolished because of coal mine expansion as she was seen being detained according to reports.

While the Police confirmed that Ms. Thunberg was not arrested and was released after checking her identification documents.

  • Although it appeared that Thunberg was arrested while she was protesting at the Garzweiler 2 open pit coal mine, about 9 km (5.6 mi) from Luetzerath, this was not the case as Police confirmed that Ms. Thunberg was not arrested and was released. after checking the ID.
