Captain Shiva Chauhan has become the proud first woman army officer to be stationed on the Siachen Glacier. The post is the highest battlefield in the world.
On Monday, the officer was deployed at Kumar station. The headquarters was located at an altitude of about 15,600 feet in Siachen for a period of three months after undergoing rigorous training.
The Leh-based Fire and Rescue Service tweeted this photo with a proud caption.
