List of Hundreds in T20 International Cricket: T20 International Cricket is a fast-paced and thrilling format of the game that has seen some phenomenal performances from the batsmen wrote his name in the record books. Among these impressive achievements, the record of scoring the most centuries in T20 international cricket stands out as a notable achievement.

Over the years, several outstanding cricketers have showcased their batting skills, creating centuries in the shortest format of the game. These brilliant innings captivated fans around the world, demonstrating the explosive and dynamic nature of T20 cricket.

The first T20 International match was played between arch-rivals New Zealand and Australia on 17 February 2005. India won the T20I World Cup and arch-rivals Pakistan finished on top runner-up.

If a player scores 100 runs in an innings then it is called a century in a cricket match. Scoring a century in T20Is is too difficult because of the limited format.

The first century of the T20 International format was scored by Chris Gayle against South Africa in the inaugural ICC World Twenty20 in 2007. Australia’s Aaron Finch scored the highest individual score of 172 runs in the T20 format. Rohit Sharma of Team India holds the record for scoring the most T20I centuries.

Currently, IPL 2023, the 16th edition of the successful tournament is underway. In the recent match between the top two teams of the tournament, Kolkata Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians, KKR’s Venkatesh Iyer made 158 runs off 73 balls. With this century, Iyer became the 2nd player after Brendon McCullum to score a century for KKR in IPL history.
