Tripura Elections 2023: In Tripura, voting for 60 Assembly seats began at 7 am on Thursday amid tight security. The Election Commission of India said there are currently 3,337 polling stations conducting voting. And 1100 polling stations are sensitive and 28 polling booths have been identified as critical by the ECI.
Election officials reported that till 11 am on Thursday, the voter turnout in the Tripura Assembly elections, held in all 60 constituencies, was 32.11 per cent. Additionally, the voting process will be completed at 4 p.m.

Tripura Assembly Elections 2023: Parties in Contest
BJP, NDPP and NPP are the main political parties in Tripura, apart from the state party. The BJP, after overthrowing the 25-year rule of the Left front in 2018, came to power. However, the newly formed Tipra Motha, led by Barma, has the potential to significantly impact the race for 20 to 25 seats this year.

Tripura Election 2023: Full List of Candidates
Being a small state, Tripura has a disproportionately large ST and SC population. Tomorrow, a total of 28.13 lakh voters will vote to decide the fate of 259 candidates, including 20 women, on a total of 60 seats. The BJP is contesting 55 assembly seats and its ally IPFT has candidates contesting six seats. The two sides will fight a friendly battle over one seat. With 12 female candidates, the BJP has the most female candidates overall.

Tripura Election 2023: Result Date
On February 27, 2023, the second round of Tripura Assembly Elections will be held in Nagaland and Meghalaya. On the other hand, from February 14 to February 27, 2023, at 7 pm, exit polls and exit polls are banned in India by the Election Commission of India.
However, Tripura Assembly Election 2023 results will be announced on Thursday, March 2 at around 4 pm.
As of today, as many as 31,000 election officers and 25,000 security personnel of central forces have been recruited for the election. Additionally, 31,000 members of the state police and state armed police have been deployed to maintain law and order in the polling station.
