Winter King Episode 6 Ending Explained
As other members of the group fall asleep, Arthur quietly leaves his resting place and walks towards a nearby body of water. There, he encounters a woman on a horse, and Arthur’s sudden appearance scares the horse. This woman is Guinevere and she strikes up a conversation with the mysterious stranger. Guinevere warns him about the importance of compromise, given her position. Unlike Arthur, she keeps her identity a secret.
The next day, the party of kings arrives at their destination in Powys and enters the castle. Ceinwyn sees Arthur from his window and expresses doubts about whether she would like him. Guinevere reassures her. Arthur presents Derfel with an engagement gift, a part of his tradition of offering it to the bride-to-be before the wedding. Meanwhile, Gorfydd decides to arrange Guinevere’s marriage, making her Ceinwyn’s maid of honor after the wedding.
This agreement is intended to secure a foothold in Dumnonia and fulfill his oath to the father of Guinevere. Ceinwyn and Arthur finally get married. After the ceremony, Arthur comes face to face with Guinevere and realizes her true identity. Ceinwyn warmly introduces Guinevere.

Winter King Episode 6 Plot
In episode 6 of The Winter King, the story continues right where the last episode ended. Arthur is mourning the loss of his friend Owain. Nimue returns to Caer Cadarn with Merlin to witness a crucial decision made by Arthur. Merlin anoints Arthur as ruler of Dumnonia and defender of Britain. Arthur discovers a sacred sword known as Excalibur, which Merlin won in a fight and gave to Arthur’s mother.
Meanwhile, a conflict is brewing for Derfel. Owain’s friends blame him for revealing Owain’s involvement in a recent attack. Nimue intervenes by casting a curse on them, saving Derfel for the moment. However, Lunete decides to leave her relationship with Derfel and Caer Cadarn.
