Republic Day 2023: Every year Republic Day is celebrated with enthusiasm on January 26. This year India will celebrate its 74th Republic Day and it falls on Thursday.

Indian Republic Day: History
Although India became free on 15 August 1947, it asserted itself as a Democratic, Republican and sovereign nation with the assent of the Constitution on 26 January 1950 Dr. Rajendra Prasad’s 21 gun salute and hoisting of the Indian National Flag heralded the birth of the momentous birth of the Republic of India on that day. Difference between Republic Day and Independence Day
