Most successful IPL captain: In the 16-year history of the Indian Premier League, hundreds of players and dozens of teams have participated. But only a few have experienced the glory of lifting the IPL Trophy. Most IPL franchise owners spend huge amounts of money on players and line their teams with the best cricketers from around the world.
Look at the roster of every IPL team and you will see that every last one of them is filled with extremely gifted and talented players. Many young and aspiring athletes who have made their mark in domestic cricket also play in the IPL. On top of that, every team has a famous cricketer, a living legend in many cases as a coach or mentor. Franchise owners spend crores every IPL auction to form their teams.
However, we have many times seen past IPL winners or even defending champions struggle in the following seasons. The T20 format of the IPL is a highly volatile format of cricket that puts immense pressure on both bowlers and strikers.
When overs in test cricket are hit for sixes in a row, it can really affect their thinking. Cricketers often play hastily in IPL under pressure to score more runs or take more wickets. This can lead to poor performance on their part and cause the entire team to lose.
