The Indian Premier League is a professional T20 cricket championship organized annually by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). IPL is a short format cricket tournament that emphasizes entertainment and aggression based on the strategic and paced nature of ODI or Test cricket. Dotted balls are a rare occurrence in the IPL and most batsmen prefer to go for boundaries.
Boundaries generate the most runs in cricket and are essential for producing exciting innings. There are two types of boundaries in cricket: Four – when the ball leaves the field on contact with the ground and Six – when the ball leaves the field in the air.
Friday was borderline most explosive and caused the biggest reaction from the crowd in attendance. Number four is a safe choice, but many batsmen prefer to play number six, even if it means risking a catch. There are several players in the IPL and around the world who have hit more sixes than fours in their career. Today, we take a look at such players. Take a look to read the list of players and teams with the most sixes in IPL history (2008-2023).
