The 2023 Indian Premier League is a league for all ages and has arguably delivered the most exciting seasons ever. IPL 2023 has seen several records broken, such as fastest century, highest total of 200 overs chased, most centuries in a season and the playoffs remain hasn’t happened yet. There are still four matches left.
IPL 2023 is a great season for the batsmen. There were very few low scores registered and many almost unattainable totals were chased down with ease. Batters have performed exceptionally well this year, especially newcomers like Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rinku Singh, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Simran Singh. Best Indian batsman in IPL 2023
Virat kohli
After a slow start in IPL 2023, Virat Kohli proved his naysayers wrong and showed why he is called King Kohli. In the final matches of Royal Challengers Bangalore, when the pressure was high to qualify for the playoffs, Kohli scored two consecutive centuries. His efforts went in vain in the final match against Gujarat Titans in the National League, but nonetheless, RCB won the hearts of the fans. There is no doubt in anyone’s mind that Virat Kohli remains one of the best cricketers in the world today.
Shubman Gill
Shubman Gill has been widely touted as the future of Indian cricket. The 23-year-old is the youngest cricketer to score a double century in One Day International cricket and is a member of the national team. Gill had an incredible IPl season in 2023. He scored three centuries and topped the list of players to represent the Orange. Gill is the highest performing Indian player in IPL 2023.
Rinku Singh
Rinku Singh shot to fame in a match against GT when he hit five consecutive sixes in the final over to win the match against Kolkata Knight Riders. Singh performed consistently throughout the season as a middle-order batsman and played both pace and tight innings. Singh’s reliability and attitude have won him many fans and he is currently the sixth highest run-scorer in IPL 2023.
Yashasvi Jaiswal
Yashasvi Jaiswal is another young rising star of Indian cricket, who scored the fastest fifty in IPL 2023. Although Rajasthan Royals failed to qualify for the playoffs despite a quick start to the season, Jaiswal made his mark with his high-octane batting, reminiscent of Virender Sehwag. Jaiswal is the third highest running Indian athlete in IPL 2023. Jaiswal’s inspirational life story is also something worth noting.
Suryakumar Yadav
Suryakumar Yadav is the best T20 batsman in the world. Yadav has had a tough start to the IPL, but so has the entire Mumbai Indians squad. However, Yadav recovered with some match-winning shots, including a 49-ball century. Yadav’s heroics took Mumbai Indians to the playoffs against all odds but could not get the team into the final.
