1. G1 class solar storm: June 29
A CLASS G1 SOLAR STORM hit the blue planet on June 29 and took the number one spot on our list when it opened a hole in our planet’s magnetosphere.
Caused by the CIR or corotating interaction zone, this storm could very easily lead to shortwave radio loss and GPS disruption.
2. G1 class solar storm: November 3
The second scary storm is similar to the first, the G1 CLASS SOLAR STORM, but the difference is that it appeared on another day, November 3 with a pink aurora, this time extremely rare.
The storm was seen near Greenland and the CME was only able to reach the lower levels of the atmosphere and the resulting ionized Nitrogen caused a rather pink and rare halo.
