According to one index, Singapore has successfully topped the list of the most powerful passports in the world. Before that, Japan topped the list five times in a row.

In around 192 countries around the world, Singapore citizens can make the most of a visa-free visit on arrival or a visa-free visit. These large numbers of countries account for 85% of the entire world. This means that Singaporeans can travel to around 85% of the world with just their passports without needing to apply for a visa prior to their trip. No wonder the Singapore passport has to be the most powerful passport in the world.

The Hanley Passport Index uses data from the International Air Transport Association to list the world’s most powerful passports. According to the index, second place on the list is Germany, Italy and Spain while third place is shared by seven countries including Japan. Check out the full list below:
