The Central Vista Redevelopment Project, is being undertaken to modernize Central Vista, including the New Parliament Building. The proposal for a new parliament building was inspired by concerns about the stability of the existing roughly 100-year-old parliament building.
The construction area of the New Parliament Building is about 65,000 square meters. The best possible use of space is guaranteed by its triangular design. It is located near Raisana Hills in New Delhi and serves as the main administrative center of the Indian government. There will be space in the new Parliament building for 384 Rajya Sabha members and 888 Lok Sabha members. According to a government document, it will display many architectural elements from important heritage structures in India, including Rashtrapati Bhavan.
