The Indian Army plans to buy around 3,000 155 mm towed, wheeled and tracked artillery systems as part of the Field Artillery Rationalization Plan. Domestic research and production must be used to meet the demand for artillery guns. Nalanda Military Plant will soon begin production of the important two-module charging system. This technology is indigenously developed at HEMRL, DRDO laboratory.
