Karnataka Chief Minister: Siddaramaiah, who served as the 22nd Chief Minister of Karnataka, will now assume the same post on May 20. The veteran political leader is the first CM to hold the post for a full term, from 2013 to 2018. After DK Shivakumar “sacrificed himself for the good of the party”, Siddaramaiah will be sworn in as state CM in the next 2 days.
President of the National Assembly Shri @kharge has authorized me to convey his decision:
Shri @siddaramaiah will be the new Chief Minister of Karnataka and Shri @DKSIVakumar will be the only Deputy Prime Minister of the state. @DKSIVakumar ji will continue to serve as KPCC Chairman until… pic.twitter.com/yQWW9I23QA
