The Wolf and the Lion Plot
After the death of her grandfather, Alma Deranquel returns to her childhood home nestled in the Canadian wilderness. As she explores the forest, she comes across the wreckage of a plane carrying a lion cub, smuggled out of Africa for a circus show.
The cub’s fate takes an unexpected turn when a bald eagle intervenes, ending up in Alma’s care after a mishap in the nest. Motivated by her grandfather’s vehement opposition to animal exploitation in circuses, Alma decides to protect the cub from the rangers.
Coincidentally, a benevolent wolf seeks refuge in Alma’s cabin, accompanied by her own cub, whose connection comes from Alma’s grandfather.
During Alma’s brief absence for a musical audition, tragedy strikes when the mother wolf falls victim to the scientists’ tranquilizers, destined to be relocated to safeguard an endangered wolf species.
Left alone, Alma assumes the role of guardian of the lion cub, named “Dreamer”, and the wolf cub, nicknamed “Mozart”. The trio live together for a year before a demand forces Alma’s godfather to alert the authorities, which leads to their separation from her.
Mozart finds himself in a breeding center, while Dreamer becomes part of a circus owned by a lion trainer. Determined to reunite with Dreamer, Alma enlists the help of her godfather.
The following narration tells of his journey, accompanied by Eli the zoologist and the young Rapha. Through a sequence of events, the story culminates in a tense confrontation with the police, in which Alma’s unwavering determination prevails as she safeguards the animals.
