What is the history of International Youth Day?

  • Organize a (virtual) concert to promote International Youth Day and kick off the Year. Invite your local musicians and combine it with a panel discussion or invite a politician or policymaker to host the keynote.
  • Create an “information point” on youth issues in town/village centres, at high schools or at university centres.
  • Organize an exhibition. Public spaces are allowed to exhibit art, showcase the challenges facing today’s youth or how young people are contributing to development. Strive to involve young people in the fields of culture, art and music to raise awareness of issues related to youth.
