To raise awareness and motivate the youth, the Indian Army has announced the Battle of Minds Quiz 2023 on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Vijay Kargil Diwas.

This is a national quiz competition held for school students. The test is designed to test the knowledge and innovation of young minds, while promoting the values of the Indian Army, such as courage, determination and teamwork. .
The Press Information Bureau stated: “In an important step towards fostering knowledge and empowering youth, Indian Army is proud to launch ‘Battle of Minds’ – Indian Army Quiz 2023 along with its logo. its charm, today at the Manekshaw Center in Delhi Cantonment.”
“To announce the beginning of the 25th year of the Kargil Vijay Divas celebrations, a quiz contest commemorating the victory of the Indian Armed Forces in the Kargil War, showing a heartfelt tribute to bravery. and the courage of those who made that victory a reality.” it added.
What is the eligibility to take the Indian Army Test?
The event will take place in a mix of both offline and online and is geared towards students aged 10-16.
Furthermore, the test will have 5 rounds including:
- Round 1: This tournament will be held across India with the online participation of more than 15,000 schools.
- Round 2: This round will be held between the top 10% or 2000 schools and will also be conducted online.
- Round 3: The top 216 teams will be shortlisted for this round and will compete online.
- Round 4: This round has 72 schools that will compete offline.
- Round 5: This will be a national round with 12 finalists.
Participation of girls from all co-ed schools is required. This is to ensure equal participation between men and women.
Registration for this quiz is free and there are many attractive prizes for the winners. The Press Information Department mentioned: “The method of conducting the quiz competition focuses on 5 main factors, which are:
- Inclusiveness – available to all schools that use English as the primary or secondary school medium;
- Equity – ensure each school has female participation to promote balance;
- Play nice – featuring meritocracy, supported by easy-to-access tutorials;
- Free sign up; And
- Attractive prizes – especially those for accompanying schools, students and teachers, with prizes exceeding 4 crore rupees, including buses for the top 12 schools and over 360 laptops for students students and teachers are provided.”
