The goal of chess is to put the opponent’s king in a position where he cannot escape capture. This is called a check-in. If your king is in the dark, you lose the game.

The game can be settled or continued until one of the kings on the board is eliminated.

There are several ways to check your opponent’s king. One way is to move one of your pieces so that it attacks the king. Another way is to capture one of the opponent’s pieces defending the king.

The layout of a chess game

Pawn: The pawns are placed from the second to the last row of the board, with all eight pawns on each side lined up in a row.

Vehicles: Cars are placed in the corners of the chessboard, with one vehicle on each side.

Knights: The knights are placed next to the rooks, with a knight on each side.

Statue: The statue is placed next to the knight, each side has a statue.

Queen: The queen is placed on a square of the same color as her team, in the middle of the back row.

King: The king is placed on the square with the opposite color of his team, next to the queen.

How do the pieces move in chess?

To move a piece, simply pick it up and place it on an empty square. Pieces can only move in certain ways, like this:

Pawn: The Pawn can advance one square or two forward on the first move. Pawn can capture enemy pieces diagonally in front of them. When it reaches the eighth rank, it can be promoted to any other piece.

Vehicle: Vehicle can move any number of squares horizontally or vertically.

Knight: Knight moves in an “L” shape, two squares in one direction and one square in the other.

Statue: Statue can move any number of squares diagonally.

Post: The Queen can move any number of squares horizontally, vertically or diagonally.

King: The King can move a tile in any direction.

There are also some special rules in chess:

Citadel: Citadel is a move that allows you to move your king and chariot to safety in one move. To enter the castle, you move your king to two squares and then move your rook to the square next to the king. You can only enter a castle if your king and chariot have not moved and if there are no enemy troops between them.

En passant: En passant is a special catch that can only be performed on the pawn’s fifth move. If a pawn moves two spaces forward in its first move and an opponent’s pawn is the next level behind it, the opponent’s pawn can capture the first pawn as if it were move only one cell forward.

Piece Level Up: When a pawn reaches the eighth rank, it can be promoted to any other piece. This is a powerful move that can be used to gain an advantage over your opponent.
