Google Bard, the famous ChatGPT competitor has been improving almost daily. With the advantage of providing real-time information, Bard is now getting a new export feature added to the platform along with better performance in math and coding. Here’s everything you need to know about the platform’s latest development.
How is Google Bard improved?
In recent months, Google has made significant improvements to Bard’s ability to perform mathematical and coding tasks. These improvements are being made through a combination of techniques, including:
Implicit Code Execution: This technique allows Bard to create code that can be executed by a computer. This means that Bard can now solve more complex problems and write more complex code.
Google’s blog says “A new technique called “implicit code execution” helps Bard detect calculation prompts and run code in the background. As a result, it can respond more accurately to math tasks, coding questions, and string manipulation prompts.”
Improved and Better Reasoning: Bard is a Large Language Model (LLM) that can predict texts useful for creative work, however this means he lacks the ability to reason logically. That is why new updates on the platform will allow it to understand the relationships between different concepts.
The official statement read “Large language models (LLMs) are like prediction engines — when given a prompt, they generate a response by predicting what words are likely to appear next. As a result, they are extremely competent at language and creative tasks, but weaker in areas such as reasoning and mathematics.”
“To help solve more complex problems with advanced logic and reasoning abilities, relying on LLM output alone is not enough. Our new method allows Bard to generate and execute code to enhance its reasoning and mathematical capabilities.” it added.
To test its new capabilities, a prompt states “Create a Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet about the 10 most populous countries in the world” was presented and this is the Bard’s answer.
“Sure, here is an Excel table of the 10 most populous countries in the world:”

Bard only generates data for nine countries, which suggests the platform is currently inaccurate. However, Google warns users about this “Even with these improvements, Bard doesn’t always get it right — for example, Bard may not generate code to support quick responses, the code it generates may be wrong, or Bard may not include code is executed in its response.”
In short, the possibilities of Google Bard are truly endless. This is an exciting new technology that has the potential to change the world in many ways. However, the AI model still needs a lot of development to give accurate results.
