Earth Day 2023: According to the United Nations, “The planet is losing about 4.7 million hectares of forest each year, an area larger than Denmark. When ecosystems are healthy, they help us protect ourselves from disease . An estimated one million hectares of forest animals and plants are currently threatened with extinction.”
The theme for this year’s Earth Day celebration is “Investing in our planet.” According to Earthday.org, the theme emphasizes that the time has come for unstoppable courage to preserve and protect our health, families and livelihoods. It means that together, we must invest in our planet. As it is said, a green future is a prosperous future.
Earth Day is celebrated on April 22 to draw attention to the urgency of the climate crisis and environmental degradation and the need for immediate action.

Every day is earth day
Every day is earth day,
Or at least it should be.
We should take each step every day
to save our planet, do you agree?
Try walking when practical,
And skip the driving.
It will help cut emissions
And improve air quality so far.
Reuse, renew, recycle,
Think about how much you throw away.
Our Earth can only hold so much trash,
One day the devil will pay the price.
And when it comes to littering,
