Renowned jewelry brand Tanishq is a gala of lavish heritage. Its name is a combination of two words, Tan meaning ‘Body’ and Nishq meaning ‘Golden Ornament’. “The brand represents craftsmanship, exclusive design and quality,” the company added in its Instagram post.

The company conducted a Gallup Poll or Sample Opinion Survey and employees were asked to indicate their first and second preference.

“The first count showed 64 votes for Air-India, 51 votes for Indian Air Lines, 28 votes for Trans-Indian Air Lines and 19 votes for Pan-Indian Air Lines. When names are less favored was disqualified, the final tally showed 72 votes for Air-India 58 for the Indian airline,” the archived news report said.

“Therefore, the name of the new Company will be AIR-INDIA,” the bulletin added.
