Dilek Tasi Plot

Mustafa, a man in his early thirties, faces the daily struggle for survival in the impoverished neighborhood of Istanbul, along with his wife Canan and daughter Cemre. Their lives take a terrible turn when Canan falls victim to a relentless illness that requires urgent surgery for her recovery. Mustafa, however, is unable to find the necessary funds for the operation.

To compound their problems, the factory where Mustafa worked has been closed for an extended period due to a lockout. Despite his unwavering commitment to his honor and dignity throughout his life, Mustafa finds himself in an agonizing situation in which he must swallow his pride and seek help.

He embarks on a mission to locate Mr. Yakup, the factory owner, in an attempt to claim unpaid wages that have accumulated over several months. His sole purpose is to get the money needed for the surgery that will save his wife’s life. However, the events that will unfold that fateful day will have far-reaching consequences, profoundly altering not only Mustafa’s life but also the future of his daughter Cemre.
