Tamil Nadu Online Gambling Laws

The state has also established the Tamil Nadu Online Gaming Regulatory Authority. The agency is empowered to monitor online gambling companies in the state.
The Center’s regulations on online gaming
Recently, MeitY announced some amendments to the Information Technology Rules, 2021. These amendments have removed regulations in the online gaming sector. The amendments introduced therefore required the creation of a multitude of self-regulatory bodies (SRBs). The approval of these self-regulatory bodies will be required for online games that involve an element of money and stakes. Conflict between the Center and the State
