AGT Fantasy League
America’s Got Talent fans are in luck with the upcoming spinoff, America’s Got Talent: Fantasy League, debuting New Year’s Day at 8 pm ET on NBC and Peacock. This innovative take on the classic competition features a unique twist by featuring acts that are not random contestants, but instead include past winners, finalists or fan favorites from the international Got Talent franchise. In this captivating spin-off, the competition extends beyond talented artists, as fans are invited to actively participate in the Fantasy League. Viewers can participate in the excitement by creating their own dream teams, strategically selecting acts from the pool of seasoned winners, finalists and beloved artists. The series promises to offer a fresh and exciting perspective, combining the familiarity of the classic AGT format with the added intrigue of assembling dream lineups from the best of Got Talent’s global legacy. With anticipation building, America’s Got Talent: Fantasy League looks poised to captivate audiences and deliver a dynamic viewing experience.

AGT Fantasy League Judges
The AGT: Fantasy League judging panel brings together a mix of familiar faces and a returning Spice Girl. Simon Cowell, known for his candid and critical commentary, will share his experience once again, alongside the always enthusiastic and entertaining duo of Heidi Klum and Howie Mandel. These seasoned judges, who recently wrapped up season 18 of AGT in September, have returned to evaluate the extraordinary talents showcased on the spin-off.
Adding a spicy touch to the panel is the return of former Spice Girl, Mel B. Fans will remember her previous stint as a judge during season 1 of AGT: The Champions in 2019. Mel B brings her unique perspective and vibrant energy to the panel. Fantasy League, contributing to the diverse evaluation dynamic. Terry Crews, who took over the hosting role from Tyra Banks in 2019, also returns, ready to guide the contestants through the exciting journey of AGT: Fantasy League.
While Sofia Vergara is notably absent from the Fantasy League judging lineup, it’s not uncommon for a regular-season AGT judge to not participate in a spinoff. These types of rotations have occurred in the past, with judges temporarily stepping aside for different iterations of the show. Unless otherwise announced, fans can expect Vergara to return as a judge for AGT season 19 in 2024.
AGT Fantasy League Week 1 Recap
On the debut episode of America’s Got Talent: Fantasy League, the competition began with a unique twist, pitting the judges against each other as they selected 10 acts for their teams. The panel, made up of Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum and Mel B, each had a keen interest in the success of their chosen artists. Mel B, with the first Golden Buzzer of the season, had the power to boost one of his acts directly to the finals or steal a popular act from his fellow judges. The result was the show’s first theft, as Mel B snatched skating duo Billy and Emily England from Simon Cowell’s team.
The 10 acts featured at the premiere included pole dancer Kristy Sellars, magician Jon Dorenbos, charismatic Hans, skater siblings Billy and Emily England, singer Kodi Lee, sand artist Kseniya Simonova, opera singer Maria Seiren, the shadow puppeteer Shadow Ace, the enigmatic Tape. Face, and the dynamic dance group V. Unbeatable.
Five acts emerged victorious and earned enough votes from the “public” to advance to the semi-finals. These acts include skating duo Billy & Emily England (Team Mel B, stolen from Simon), two-time AGT winner Kodi Lee (Team Simon), pole dancer Kristy Sellars (Team Howie), sand artist Kseniya Simonova (Team Howie), and shadow puppeteer Shadow Ace (Team Howie).
Unfortunately, not everyone made it through, and Week 1 saw the elimination of Tape Face, Japanese opera singer Maria Seiren, the entertaining Hans, and magician Jon Dorenbos. The competition is heating up and the Fantasy League promises more exciting performances and surprising twists as the season progresses.
